Lisianthus just might be my favorite summer flower. Those ruffly petals are swoon worthy. Not to mention they last 2+ weeks in a vase. She checks allllll the boxes. These gorgeous ladies should be making their bouquet debut next week! I can’t wait to show her off to you. ☺️

Wow, wow, wow. That’s all I have the energy to say right now. Y’all really showed up for us this Mother’s Day, and I can’t thank you enough!! The support and kind words that have poured in from this community over the past few days has been overwhelming to say the least. I am beyond grateful for each and every one of you that bought bouquets, stems, tshirts, liked or shared our post/page, or just simply stopped by to say hi. I don’t think I’ve ever worked as hard as I have this past week! We put together about 80 bouquets in less than 48 hours! I couldn’t have done it without my amazing support system (mom, MIL, stepdad, sis-in-law, hubs, and more!) If this week has taught me anything, it’s that I am on the right path and building something truly worthwhile.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you!! May this day be filled with everything you love and enjoy most! This mama is going to catch up on laundry and housework since it looks like feral pigs live in my home right now. But, it’s ok! I’ll rest…eventually. 🤪

Do any of you plant alliums? I feel they are such an underrated flower. There are so many beautiful varieties in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and the pollinators can’t get enough of them! Neither can I! I have a very interesting variety that’s about to come into bloom. I’m excited to share it with you. Meanwhile, the purple sensation is stealing the show!

Here’s a healthy dose of green for your St. Paddy’s day.

So much green around the farm this week. The overwintered crops are starting to push out some lush green growth! Tulips are budding up and will be ready to pick any day now. I’ll start harvesting them as they get ready and dry store them in my cooler (aka fridge) until I have enough for our CSA. I peeked the first buds in the ranunculus eeeek!!! This is really exciting for me bc this is my first year with these beauties. The pansies have been blooming their heads off, just need them to get longer stems (hoping the warmer weather and longer days will encourage that), and the hyacinths, muscari, and daffodils continue to put on a show as the bees do their daily dance all along the garden path.

Meanwhile, I’ll be doing my daily dance of covering/uncovering the crops with this upcoming cold weather. Not my favorite thing, but well worth the effort to have these babies blooming in no time.

My mom decided to prepare a traditional Irish meal for the family this evening. Complete with Irish stew, soda bread, and fried cabbage. A report from 24andme from a few years ago revealed that we have Irish blood in our veins (along with Mexican, American Indian, and a few others), so she thought it fitting to celebrate the holiday.

Fall bed prep and seed sowing so we can have gorgeous spring blooms! Even though things take twice as long, and I have to stop for countless water and pb&j breaks, having this guy beside me in the field is priceless.
