The Historic Saluda Committee has some exciting news! We have been notified that upon the recommendation of the members of the Saluda Presbyterian Church, and by unanimous vote of the Presbytery of Western North Carolina, we have been gifted the historic sanctuary of the Saluda Presbyterian Church to be used as a museum. Construction of this beautiful sanctuary began in 1895 and was completed in 1896. It is beautifully intact and been perfectly preserved. Our commitment is to safeguard this property and take proactive measures to ensure its preservation for generations to come.

Since 2010, the HSC has worked tirelessly to preserve the history of Saluda through a variety of means. It has always been our dream to have a museum. We are currently an advisory committee to the City of Saluda, but toward the end of 2024, we began the process to leave the city and transition to a non-profit, 501(c)(3) and will be changing our name to Historic Saluda, Inc. Once this process is final, we will take ownership of the church. Much more information will follow as we take this monumental step. Please follow along as we progress. We need your support! We greatly appreciate the support of the City of Saluda as they are assisting us in the process to transition to a non-profit.
