Ok … I’m not the brightest bulb in the American Bar Association’s chandelier (just ask my USC Joseph F. Rice School of Law 1988 classmates 😂😂😂) but having said that , I’m a pretty quick study and HAVE passed two (2) bar exams, including the toughest one in the USA (California). I just read Special Counsel Jack Smith’s superseding indictment in the Federal January 6 case, written in response to SCOTA’s immunity decision. I have something to volunteer.
Apparently, Special Counsel re-framed the allegations against Trump and dropped the charges relating to “official acts while serving in official capacity as POTUS”, pursuant to the SCOTUS decision on that matter.
Now… FINALLY… I’m wrapping my head around how horrible and unequivocally dangerous that decision is.
ABSENT now from the superseding indictment are the SWORN allegations about Trump instructing his counsel to write letters to election and other elected officials in Georgia AND ELSEWHERE to force their state legislatures to reconvene in extraordinary sessions so they could THROW OUT the slate of legitimate electors from the general election and INSERT BRAND NEW ELECTORS who could defy the legitimate official election results and supplant them with Trump electors.
Apparently Trumps attorney general at the time (his 3rd?!?) put his foot down and said —paraphrased— “hell no. That’s NOT It how it works IN THIS democracy. If you insist on this , expect an EN Masse exodus from the AG’s office!”
So, thank u Jesus, the letter was written, but not sent.

To oversimplify: O.M.G.!
Honestly, I truly TRULY cannot see how any RED- blooded American can think It’s a good idea to ostensibly live in a “democracy” in which a sitting President can manipulate legitimate election results by SUPPLANTING & MUSCLING in new electors to preserve their presidency.
That is NOT a democracy. I’m not talking Democrat. I’m not talking Republican. I’m not talking libertarian. I’m not talking independent. I’m talking American.., OMFG!
And let me apologize in advance for finally, after all this time, obtaining “a keen grasp of the obvious”, but for whatever reason, I just had a Damascarian experience like Saint Paul when I read this superseding indictment. Thank you for allowing me to share whatever enlightenment this could give to any other of my friends who weren’t paying close enough attention, as I clearly was not! Thank you for your time.
