With temperatures forecasted to dip into the low-20's this evening, a CODE BLUE has been issued for Howard County for tonight, December 2nd. If you are or someone you encounter is in need of shelter from the cold, please contact Grassroots Crisis Intervention's hotline at (410) 531-6677 for assistance.

Additionally, during regular business hours this evening, Howard County Recreation and Parks' community centers (www.howardcountymd.gov/facilities), open till 9:00 p.m. (Gary J. Arthur and North Laurel) and 10:00 p.m. (Roger Carter) and Howard County Library System branches (https://hclibrary.org/locations), open till 9:00 p.m., are also great places to stop by if you need a place to warm up before you are able to head over to the shelter tonight.

Calling all Howard County students! With the upcoming launch of RTA’s new Route 410, traveling to and from Howard Community College, HCPSS Central Office, and other locations just got easier. High school and community college students can ride for free by downloading their digital pass on the Transit app—making education and work opportunities even more accessible!

Starting November 11, Route 410 will provide an hourly service from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays, with easy connections for all riders. Let’s keep Howard County moving!
