It wasn’t terrible but you probably won’t think it’s good unless you’re already a diehard Insidious fan! Point of clarification on the music: I couldn’t hear it as well as I would have liked because I had to keep the volume relatively low, but they have had the same composer for the whole franchise with consistently great music, so I would expect nothing less from this. Plus, what I could here was characteristic of a familiar, great, Insidious soundtrack

I feel like you don’t hear a lot of musicians play this tune. I had totally forgotten about it until I heard it in an episode of LOST the other night. Tons of fun to play, definitely goong to continue to work on it & add it to my set!

Chandler and I have absolutely been through the wringer together. The highest highs and the lowest lows. His passing has affected me in a way that no other passing in my life has. Mine and Chandler’s lives were parallel for so long, the fact that I’m still here and he’s not is an absolute shot in the dark, could have gone either way.

I think this song really encapsulates not only Chandler’s struggle, but also my experience as a drug addict, alcoholic, homeless, self-serving, would be statistic, during my teenage years and early twenties in San Diego.

Rest in peace Chandler, it’s so hard to believe that after all of the experiences I had with you, everything we went through, did together, and shared with each other, that after all of that your story has ended.

In the end we both, “got off the reef,” I only wish you had gotten off my way too.

I have so much more that I want to say about this and now that I’m done with the Sublime arrangement and the slide show, I’m going to make a video talking about my experience with you and the huge impact you had on my life.

My instrumental arrangement of Bad Fish will be available on all streaming services this upcoming Friday (9/1) with a picture of Chandler as the album art. I think Chandler would have appreciated this arrangement and would be totally stoked to live on in the digital streaming world associated with this tune 🐠

Wow, I am so satisfied with my ability to play the guitar & so grateful that I’ve stuck it out & consistently practiced & studied for most of my life. Thank you to all of my great teachers & those who have inspired me, I would be nothing without you & God!

One of the highlights of my in-laws recent visit was getting to jam with my cousin. This was my first time jamming on guitar with a drummer since well before covid and it was my cousins first time ever playing a full drum set! I showed how to play a simple beat the hour leading up to this jam and next thing you know, we were in the pocket 🥁

Wasn’t familiar with leon bridges before being commissioned to arrange this tune as part of a wedding ceremony I’m performing in this weekend. The tune is a lot of fun to play, I’ve had a blast arranging four tunes for this wedding, and can’t wait to perform them this weekend!

Posting a portion of every tune in my set in an attempt to learn them better, add new music to it, & have a wealth of content to post steadily over the next number of months. Also, it’s nice to get practice playing each tune on my new guitar as I haven’t had an actual gig with it yet. I will be posting vidoes of me playing abridged versions of all the tunes, taking little to no repeats in an attempt to make the videos as short as possible while still including as much music from the tune as possible ✌️
