A Celebration of Life candlelight service will be held 7:30 PM Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Double Churches Community Pool. Following Mrs. Joni's tradition, Ice cream will be served before you leave.

The family has asked, instead of purchasing flowers or a memorial tree, please send photos of Mrs. Joni teaching your children to swim. This can be submitted to McMullen's website page under the tribute wall for Joni Ressmeyer .

Big shout out to .cousins for helping get this exciting new partnership and sponsorship started with ! Can't wait to see where this will take us! I am looking forward to putting this brand new 36" Smart Temp Griddle by Loco Cookers to use.

We will start off this weekend farms frying up some Crawfish Fried Ride for their Turkeys for Tomorrow Event.

To my grandmother.. who most of you know as Miss Joni…

When I look at this picture of the pool, so many different memories come to mind. The memories are endless. This pool embodies who my grandmother was. The swimming teacher, the caterer, the story teller. I remember working a few summers with my grandma teaching kids how to swim and looking back now I cherish those memories so much. To know how many lives my grandmother touched makes me so proud to call her my grandma. I can hear the cries, the screams, as my grandma would just say, “pierce, just throw them in! They’ll figure it out one way or the other”. She was right, I was amazed how fast they would learn how to swim across that pool to get to “safety”. Meanwhile, she has a full blown catering kitchen right up the way going full throttle getting ready to serve whoever it might have been that day. I didn’t know it at the time but one day I would soon love to share the same passion of serving others with catering as she did. The countless days rolling around her catering kitchen with her coming up with all sorts of different concoctions to have my dad try when he would come to pick me up.

Grandma, I am so proud to share some of the same passions that you had and I will work tirelessly to hold up the Ressmeyer name. I know you are holding dad, grandpa, and grandma great close in your arms today as you entered the gates of heaven. I love you, grandma.
