"We hosted a gender reveal party for our daughter and her husband this past weekend for a small group of family and close friends. District Six was THE PERFECT place for this. The owners, Jonathan and Emily, were so nice and helpful and worked with us when we had to change the date and time. Emily checked in with me more than once to make sure she knew what our needs were regarding tables and chairs. The building is beautiful, well-maintained, clean, and adorable. They had the tables all set up for us and we didn't have to move them or put them away before we left. The kitchen area is spacious and had everything we needed, and the main area was well-lit with natural light through the windows. All of our guests were enchanted with this adorable converted 1800s schoolhouse, and we heard so many compliments from them on the building throughout the afternoon. It really helped to make our very special event even more special. And, by the way, It's A Girl!" -Lori H.

Join us on Thursday, December 5 and dive into the scents of fresh evergreens like pine and cedar, and decorate with natural touches like pinecones, dried berries, cinnamon sticks, and festive ribbons. Join us for a beginner-friendly cookie decorating class to impress your friends and family this holiday season.

Jessica from Artistry Cookie Co. will guide class participants through
the basics of (6) royal icing sugar cookies:
Santa Hat
Ornament

Wreath
Winter Hat
Christmas Tree

Each ticket price includes all supplies needed for cookie decorating plus yummy holiday treats and a hot cocoa bar. Class is limited to 30 participants.
Children 8 years old and above will find the most enjoyment for this class.

When life gives you a rainy day, you have a schoolhouse wedding. We were planning to be the reception venue for this happy couple's wedding celebration, but when Hurricane Helene blew into Indiana, a beautiful wedding in the park just wasn't going to be possible. We were thrilled to make a few changes and welcome them for the wedding ceremony and reception. Congratulations and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!

There is a lot that is shiny and new at the old schoolhouse, but one thing we weren’t going to touch were the doorways and transoms in the main space. When we uncovered these gems behind old and ugly paneling, we knew we had opened a time capsule. At some point the glass had been removed, but otherwise these were one of the few areas in the building that had been untouched over the past 150 years. Another shoutout to our friends at @whitesinnovativeglass for helping us to replace the glass.
