Our final building inspection is scheduled for this week. This commercial project has been a challenge and an exciting adventure. The parking lot construction has been delayed until Spring due to an unforeseen gas line.

We are still taking donations for the completion of the parking lot infrastructure improvements. I would like to thank Yvette Meeks with , Deonna Barnett with , Sheryl Ray and Velma Bloom for their support in our dream for the Linden Community. We have extended the campaign to February 2024.

***NEW BUSINES IN LINDEN!!! THE ROCHESTER EVENT CENTER***
Would you like to be a part of this journey and become a supporter? We feel it is important to bring businesses back to the community.

The event center offers 2,000 sq. ft of banquet space that includes a bar, multi-media technology, tables, chairs and a designated area for a DJ or a band. We also provide a warming kitchen with a commercial refrigerator, ice maker, warming cabinet and prep table. The building capacity is 93. There is free parking in the rear and adjacent parking lot.

We are scheduled to open in November 2023 and will be booking events soon. Visit our website at www.eventsatrochester.com to stay informed.

Bringing this business to Linden was important to us to help with revitalization and bring families and the community together. If you have driven by 2503 Cleveland Avenue you can see all of the work that we have accomplished on the building. I will be posting progress pictures in the coming days.

The City of Columbus has also been working on improving the infrastructure of Linden and with that comes additional request as a business owner that were unforeseen. The city is requesting that we add, fencing, bike racks, concrete walks, new parking lot, pole mounted site lighting with a concrete base, and a new storm sewer catch basin. Yes, I said storm sewer catch basin. It is a large undertaking!
