This past fall I photographed a senior girl that is extra special to me! Meet my oldest daughter, Jada Chevelle!!!

I have been taking her photos since she was a newborn so to make her senior photos special, we traveled to New Orleans, LA and Biloxi, MS to take her photos. These are few of my favorites from the Langles Bridge in the New Orleans City Park.

Exploring the countryside from above is always a breathtaking experience!

Big thanks to for the opportunity to photograph their barns to create stunning aerial portraits for their office decor, as well as for their marketing! It was an absolute joy to spend the day driving the countryside through multiple counties and taking in all the amazing views.

Fun fact: I've been a licensed and insured drone pilot since 2016, and I'm always excited to take on new aerial photo and video projects!

I want to give a shout out to Jared Barton with the Columbus Telegram for writing this story to help celebrate the completion of my 15th year in business. There are some things that are a little off in this article because I was very nervous and kept forgetting what I wanted to say but for those who know me, know that isn’t a surprise 😆.

I also want to give another huge shoutout to one of my favorite persons and unofficial business partner for the past 11 years, Kelly Seier with Kelly Reigle~Photography! It means so much to me that she would speak on my behalf. Her friendship,support, and encouragement over the years has been amazing and I couldn’t imagine where I would be if I didn’t have her by my side, always a text message away.

And most importantly, I want to thank every single one of my clients for the opportunity to work with you and for the continued support through repeat sessions and referrals.

Anyway… here is the history of Remember When…

I actually officially started my business in 2007 as GFX Photography & Graphic Design. I was the photographer for a local retail store at the time. I rented a small office for a studio in Pioneer Plaza for a short time.

In 2010, I rebranded to Remember When Portrait Studio LLC and had an in-home studio that was the lower level of my home. I added videography to my services in 2014 and changed my trade name to Remember When Photo & Video.

In 2016/2017, I became a single mother of 3 and bought a smaller house with a garage that had a 1-bedroom apartment above the garage that I turned into an office and meeting/sales room. This is when I really scaled back to just specialize in weddings and marketing photo and video with a small amount of seniors and extended families. Doing so has made it possible so that I don’t have to work every evening and weekend to make an income and I can be at all my girls’ activities. The only time I ever miss anything for my girls is if I have a wedding.

I get the pleasure of driving to Lindsay, Nebraska, and then to Albion, Nebraska, to photograph Scott & Sydney's wedding day!!! Sydney has been in front of my camera a couple of times as a bridesmaid but tomorrow she will be the one wearing the white dress!!! 😁
