As many prepare for upcoming events and you may reach out to an event professional for services; a few things to keep in mind. Understand that an event professional runs a business and not a hobby. Therefore the systems in place along with pricing will not reflect someone who may do events for a hobby or simply thinking they have the skill. Remember it’s a business! Be realistic with your expenses for the event. Your guests count is a key factor. The more guests equate to more out of pocket costs. Every chair, tablecloth, napkin, charger plate, centerpieces are priced individually. When you think adding 10-20 more people doesn’t make a huge difference. It truly does; that’s 2-3 more tables added to your overall event design. Your venue matters. Understand it’s best to have an event planner and designer in place prior to booking your venue. The aesthetics or facility needs may not suit your specific requirements; therefore you will have to try to fit a puzzle piece into a scenario that doesn’t work.

What an incredible day it has been for Aretha Glenn Events! We traveled to Detroit, MI, for an exhilarating photoshoot for Tee Alexander “All Things Fete” milestone shoot, featuring the talented celebrity makeup artist George Mckenney and the phenomenal photographer Jermme.com

The energy was electric as people stopped to compliment Tee’s stunning custom gown and cheer her on during our Detroit Takeover!

I prefer my clients weddings to be unplugged. No cell phones, no recording, no going live on any platform. There’s seasoned and trained professionals capturing the couple’s day. A hired photographer and videographer. Allow them to professionally present their craft for the couple and the guests. A bride or groom wants to present themselves in the most beautiful way.

Guests have to understand and respect the couples decision for this! The reception let loose but the ceremony allow that private moment with their guests! Give it time the professionals will have the proper images.
