We’re excited to bring back our Forensic Art Class this Spring. The course, which is free for 6th to 12th grade school students, will run from January 28th to May 15th, every Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in our upstairs Laura Ann Rau Gallery. Instructor Dan Poré has created a program that provides a distinctive chance for artists to contribute to law enforcement efforts by aiding in the real-time identification of suspects.

We had an amazing time at our first annual LOAC “The Art of Chili”. We want to thank the 12 Cook-Off teams that participated and our amazing judges!!! 1st place Jackpot Beans went to Susan & Tommy Guthmann of team “G-2 BBQ”. 1st place Chili went to Keith and Kelley Becker - Alvin, TX "Bayou Kookers". 2nd place chili went to Lupe & Jimmy Juarez, team “Tex-Mex Cookers". 3rd place chili went to Ricky Neuendorff/Ricky's Way, Susan and Tommy Guthmann "G-2 BAR-B-Que", Russell & Johnna Maertz/Glazed & Co fused Cookers sponsored by Blue Dolphin Realty, LLC.

The event is open to the first 35 teams that register. Teams can sign up for chili for $35 or for both chili and jackpot beans for $50.
General admission is FREE and begins at 12 PM. Chili Bowls, cornbread, and pinto beans will be available for $15.
We’ll have a cornhole tournament, arts and crafts activities for kids, and adult beverages available from Hound Song Brewing Co. and Loblolly Cellars. CHS Band Boosters will be selling sodas, water, and chips.
LOAC will also be selling a variety of domestic beers.
We can’t wait to see you there!
