POV you’re 10 years into your dream job. I wish I could share every single couple that’s trusted me to make their wedding dreams come true. It’s your love for each other that keeps me going! Did you know? The tradition of cutting the cake can be traced back as far as Ancient Rome, where after a wedding ceremony the groom broke a “cake” or sweetened bread over his bride’s head to to symbolize a future of prosperity. The tradition has gone through as many changes over the years as wedding cake itself, but I much prefer the modern take that cutting the cake is a sweet representation of the couple’s first undertaking at a challenge (and it can be a challenge!) together as husband and wife.

Traditionally, cutting the cake also informs guests that they can now politely depart if they wish- even if the wild dance party is only just beginning.

Of course, who would want to leave before trying a slice of Alex & Alicia’s cookies and cream flavored cake from ? Inspired by Wedgewood jasper ware the cake was as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to eat!

Heading into our last wedding weekend of the year with the usual joy and anticipation, but also feeling a little overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing couples I had the pleasure of working with this year. Starting my year with Carly and Zach, I *knew* my 2025 weddings were going to be so rewarding. Anyone who was there can tell you the vibes were off 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 chart.

I never get tired of sharing in these fun and beautiful but deeply personal and profound moments in my couple’s lives. Cheers to the never ending anticipation of the joy to come!

What I wouldn’t give for one of Alex or Alicia’s signature drinks right now (in their company, especially!) Creative, delicious, and beautiful, the couple served as their own mixologists stirring up these specialty cocktails for their September wedding. My personal favorite: the “Dubious Drink” (iykyk) complete with bone drink stirrers.

You can never go wrong infusing the details of your day with the wonderful things that make you, you!

Two beautiful families coming together to love and celebrate newlyweds as they take a leap of faith into their futures together is my favorite thing. Sometimes I wonder if couples really have any idea how much it means to me to be a witness to these moments. All the in between moments that will live in their memories and their photos forever.

While a beautiful voice serenaded “Fools Rush In,” Maddie made her entrance. Her dad met her with a steady arm at the bottom of the stairs, and they made their way up the aisle to her groom. It was epic, it was stunning, and I don’t think their was a dry eye in the house! Long live love.
