The National Sports Collectors Convention 2024 - Cleveland

During the past few days, it was nice to see some sports card and memorabilia dealers who set up at some of our earliest shows-Bart, Jake, Mel, Tom and Tony, back in the late 80s and early 90s.

We saw Tim and Donnie of Signatures For Soldiers and even got to help them a little bit.

We saw many patrons who are friends including Scott, Michael, Drew, Jerry, Tom, Jeff, DJ, Roy, Chris, John, Brian, Tommy, Mickey, Corey, Tom, Brad, Tim, Bob, John, Brian and Kevin.

I am not sure all the pictures actually got taken, so if not posted, it was because the volunteer photographer somehow didn't take it?

I am sure many more of you were there, but our paths just didn't cross.

Made a few new friends including Jeff, Danny and Tom.

Saw previous guests of R & J Promotions who appeared at the National including Len Barker, Hanford Dixon, Mike Tomczak, Tom Cousineau, Dick Ambrose, Cory Snyder and Joe Charboneau.

Thank you to Michael Batteiger for assisting us obtaining a couple of autographs of former guests, Kevin Mack and Bob Golic, as we had a conflict and couldn't make it. He also got us another autograph too.

Finally, our daughter, Tara, brought up one of our grandsons, Wyatt, to his first National. Brought back great memories of taking her and Justin to Nationals long ago.

Hope you all had a good and successful National.

As most of you know, R & J Promotions has been supporting Signatures for Soldiers in various ways since the last Cleveland National in 2018, when we first met Tim. The most gratifying part of this year's National was providing a little assistance in getting some autographs for their future sale by SFS. Included in that was our long-time friend and multiple times guest Joe Charboneau who signed cards for them. This year we also met Donnie.
