There are cons to being a flower shop owner on Mothers Day. We work late into the night & early mornings all week to prepare & design beautiful bouquets for other moms. We have never had a Mother’s Day brunch, or a relaxing day being pampered. We rarely see our families all week, and are physically & mentally exhausted by the time the special day arrives.

But you know what we at Richie’s do have? Memories of working along side of our mothers. Mother & daughter, side by side year after year, helping each other, spending all day and late nights creating, talking, laughing, and encouraging each other to push through even though we’re exhausted.

It began with my grandma & mom, then me & my mom, and now me, my mom & my daughters. 4 generations of mothers & daughters working together creating, learning, and growing year after year. I’d gladly give up a million brunches for these precious memories.

Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be about relaxing. It’s about being there for your mom to show your gratitude for all the times she’s been there for you. And I’m forever grateful for these moments.
