Concordia Broadway Plaza The Broadway Plaza is the City of Concordia's premier outdoor public event space. A gateway to Concordia's downtown shopping and entertainment district.

In 2014 the Concordia City Commision purchased five empty lots a the corner of 6th and Broadway Streets. Their vision was to create a downtown public space that would increase business sales and fill empty storefronts. Now here we are with a number of new businesses and an incredible new enhancement to our downtown. With the residents in mind, they helped determine the components that would matter

the most in a public space. They designed a wonderful gathering spot with the intention of promoting one's health, happiness, and well being. Features include: Performance stage, 20 x 12 foot LED Screen, fully-automated zero-depth splash pad, & a concessions building that houses public restrooms which are open 24/7. The Broadway Plaza would not have been possible without the TIF funds or the support of our generous donors:

Congratulations RMA!

Congratulations to JP and Gina Metzler, owners of RMA Engineering in Concordia Kansas.
Kansas businesses and entrepreneurs were recognized Thursday night at the Kansas Commerce's "To The Stars" ceremony. The event recognized their outstanding contributions to the state's economy and communities. A record 431 businesses, organizations, and individuals were nominated in nine catagories for this year's To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards. Nominees were reviewed and scored for various criteria, such as business expansion, employee recruitment and retention practices, training and educational programs, capital investment and support of local community events. Awards were presented for both regional and state levels.
Regional award recipients in the "Welcome Back Award" catagory were JP and Gina Metzler. RMA Engineering is proud to offer solutions for your Power, Environmental, Electrical, Civil, and Network Engineering projects. They also offer GIS services and staff extensions to keep telecommunications companies and electrical coops running smoothly. They have mutliple crews working all over the midwest.
Way to go JP and Gina! You make Cloud County proud!

Cunningham Fiber was kind enough to make an emergency trip to the Broadway Plaza!! They have their issues fixed and the K-State vs Baylor game is running with NO ISSUES and the picture looks GREAT!!! Come watch the second half at the Plaza! And don't forget the KU game at 6:30!
