With heavy heart, we need to share the passing of a former officer of our Post. Janie (Jane) Clarke, owner of the Spokesman's Bar on FM 78 in Converse was a member at large on Executive Committee then served two terms as 2nd Vice. RIP dear friend!

Sue Pearce's husband, Billy Pearce (Hawkeye), passed away a few weeks ago. His celebration of life will be at The American Legion Post 593 on February 1st at 1 PM. We will have a short ceremony in the hall.

We are needing side dishes and desserts. Please have your dishes at the post No later than 12:30 on Saturday, February 1st. Any questions, please contact Michelle Muth or Rob Henkel.

On this Veterans Day, we pay tribute to our veterans and thank them for their service. We also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of our volunteers and sponsors who have helped make our Flags on Main Street program a success.
