Have you ever sat and reminisced of the childhood memories you have in your mind and hold forever in your heart?
Our friend and local author, Tonalee Shinabery-King has done just that. Tona's heart remembers a time in her young childhood where her and her dad had an adventure mushroom hunting.
Tona has put her memories into words. Her book, More Than A Mushroom Hunt, with illustrations from students at IPFW, depict a wonderful time spent, just her with her dad.
More Than A Mushroom Hunt is a sensory-rich quest through the woods with a girl and her father that is more than a mushroom hunt. The pair encounter forest animals, paw-paws, wildflowers, and many different kinds of mushrooms on their adventure.
Tona hopes her book inspires children and families to reconnect with nature, make their own adventure and put forever memories into their hearts.
Tona has been a teacher for over 35 years and is currently teaching 3rd grade at Grover Hill Elementary. Her students, past and present, and the multitude of friends and family are extremely excited for the books launch and eagerly waiting to read it.
We are so excited and proud to have the launch of this wonderful book, More Than A Mushroom Hunt , here at The Secret Garden, Tomorrow Nov. 15th, 12pm to 2pm.

Bear Foods has a heartwarming story behind their company. The brother of founder, Mac Brydon was born with Down's Syndrome. Miller is smart, strong, funny a fantastic dancer however after graduating high school struggled to figure out his next steps in life. As Mac states, Miller has never been given a springboard into adult life.
Mac founded Bear Foods and partnered with a local ministry. Together Bear Foods and Rainbow Express Ministries offer those with special needs, like Miller, oportunities to share their gifts with others.
♡♡♡With Every Purchase, Bear Foods donates a portion to Rainbow Express Ministries, helping them to help others.
This is a wonderful way to pay it forward this Christmas season and beyond.

The shop has been transformed into a beautiful Christmas Wonderland just in time for our Open House. We have some awesome new products and some yummy new product lines, Bear Nuts and Popcorn and Carmie's Kitchen Soup and Dip Mixes.
Everyone's favorites have returned....Al's Gourmet Popcorn, Bruce's Concessions Sugared Nuts, Deaf Dog Coffee + Co., Candleberry Candles, Homemade Candies, Cookies by Rhonda's Sweet Treats, LLC in Van Wert, OH AND the premier of our very own Secret Garden Blend of Coffee created by Convoy Road Coffee Roasters.
We are so excited to have, in house, one of the largest Collegiate selection in the area..showcasing Ohio State, I U, and Michigan.
Our cooler will be stocked with cash and carry arrangements and our designer will be ready to create something beautiful for you.
