Latest Waccamaw River Forecast

A continual rise on the Waccamaw River and its tributaries is forecasted through next week. Specific areas that may be impacted are noted on the graphic. If you live in an area prone to flooding, continue to monitor around your property and secure items around your home.

Avoid wading in floodwater, which can be contaminated and contain dangerous debris like glass. Keep an eye out for animals like snakes and alligators that may become displaced and close to your home.

The Conway Marina boat ramp is currently closed. Most public boat ramps are closed on the Waccamaw River. If you have to be on the river, please travel slowly so that you create NO WAKE. Small wake can cause disastrous damage to property.

Waccamaw River Park and Crabtree Greenway are closed due to flood waters. Riverfront Park remains open for now, however, it may close as waters continue to rise.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - AUGUST 6, 2024
Join us and partners from around the City for an evening of fun!

From 6:00pm to 8:00pm on August 6th, join Conway Police Department at the Conway Recreation Center, 1515 Millpond Road for music, inflatable, dunk-a-cop and a hot dog dinner. Kona Ice will be on-site for purchase and several vendors will be located inside the Recreation Center.

This is a night for us to stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight to build a safer community.

Thousands of communities nationwide host the “41st Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out, will involve over 16,800 communities from all 50 state, US territories and military bases from around the world.
