From its beginning, the Georgia International Horse Park (GIHP) has been Groomed for Greatness. Since opening its gates in September of 1995, the GIHP has already served as the equestrian venue for the largest sporting event in

the world: The 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The Park was the setting for the equestrian events, first ever mountain bike competition, and the final two events of the modern pentathlon. Today, the tradition continues as the GIHP plays host to a remarkable variety of special events. Throughout the year, many events take place at the Park including horse shows, mountain bike races, weddings, banquets, festivals, concerts, rodeos, outdoor sporting events and much more. The Horse Park facility also includes the Big Haynes Creek Nature Center, Horse Trails, Mountain Bike Trails, and Rockdale County Master Gardener Arboretum. The GIHP team wants to thank the Rockdale and Newton County communities for voting the Georgia International Horse Park as "Best Venue" and the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival as "Best Local Event" in 2024. It is our pleasure to serve these communities as a host venue for horse shows, sporting events, weddings, receptions, showers, birthday parties, and many other events. We are also proud to host the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival during the month of March each year promoting friendship and cultural understanding through arts, crafts, music, food, and entertainment. The GIHP Team recently won the City of Conyers Door Decorating contest! ☃️ The competition was among other departments within the City. 🐴🐴 Our "Winter Wonder Barn" featured Blitzy and Glitzy, our two stick horses, rocking around the Christmas tree in the barn. Ditzy, the possum, wandered over from the Big Haynes Creek Nature Center to join in the fun, while nugget, the chicken, was overseeing all the festivities from the coop 🐔.

The Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival and Ingles Markets are excited to announce the 2022 Entertainment Headliner, Ricky Gunter! Ricky will perform on the Ingles Main Stage on Saturday, March 26 at 4:00PM. Ricky Gunter grew up in a small town with a population of about 4,000 people. He has lived each and every day chasing his dream of performing music. His mother was his biggest influence and taught him how to harmonize by singing all day long during his childhood. His dad, forever a good ole country boy, was also instrumental in steering Ricky into the country music scene. "Small town. When I say small town, I literally mean the smallest town in the world, but I have never seen so many people show up and push me everyday as much as my hometown of Marshall, North Carolina." Ricky started singing professionally back in 2011. With the incredible support and love from his family, he set his sights out to do something big for them. Ricky won Vocalist of the Year at the Josie Awards in 2021. His new single was released February 28th to all social media as well as radio. "Now in 2021, the blessings that I have received to be able to do what I love are far and beyond what I ever imagined.
