Mother’s Day is coming!!!

This year I will be offering 2 different options for Mother's Day orders. It will be the same arrangement, one in a vase and one wrapped in paper. The colors will be muted green, blue, lilac, orange and coral. The picture I have included is not my picture but is the inspiration for my Mother’s Day designs.

Did you know…… taking pictures of flowers is HARD?! Flowers are way prettier in person, there’s just something that doesn’t get translated into photos. It’s also very hard to portray the actual size of each flower and the arrangement in general.

For this particular arrangement she wanted “ALL the roses”. I created this and sent her the pic. Even though she saw the arrangement in the picture, she was taken back with how pretty it was when she saw them it real life.😍 And it brought tears to the eyes of the recipient 🥹. 🙌🏼

So, it’s safe to assume that the arrangement is always MUCH better than the picture! 😉

It was a busy weekend making corsages and boutonnières! Here’s a sampling they were for Winter Formal, Daddy Daughter and Military balls. Did you know I make my own bases for the wrist corsages? I don’t like anything else on the market. The stretchy bands itch and hurt (and don’t fit every wrist). The pearl ones are pretty, but fall off…. So I make my own. They’re light weight, don’t fall off, fit everyone and are super comfortable. Win, win, win!

Life of a florist! Beauty is made in chaos 😍💕

I planted some milkweed this past spring. Last weekend I noticed millions of monarch caterpillars 🐛 (ok slight exaggeration there). We brought 15 of them inside and are feeding them and watching them grow. Jonas, my 10 year old, caught this on his phone yesterday. When they change from a caterpillar to a chrysalis it takes about 3 minutes and it’s not often you see it happen! He got the whole thing in these two videos. SOOO cool!! I could watch it over and over. Right now we have 8 chrysalises (chrysali?). Can’t wait to see all of the butterflies 🦋 #monarchbutterfly #monarchcaterpillar #milkweedformonarchs Video 1
