Opened in 1969, this iconic concrete arch bridge connects San Diego to Coronado Island, stretching 3.4 km (2.1 miles) across San Diego Bay. At its highest point, it soars 61 meters (200 feet) above the water, allowing large vessels to pass beneath with ease.
