My husband has an interesting take on the Pokémon theme song. When we go to the store, he picks up a Pokémon item and says, “See, I can catch Pokémon too!” I can’t stop laughing! We’re incredibly proud of our nephew, Quentin, and I’m so glad he’s been paying attention to the words. We love you, Quentin!

A few years ago, I attended a baby shower, not expecting anything out of the ordinary. As the day unfolded, I found myself in a conversation with a woman who seemed familiar in a way I couldn't quite place. We were just exchanging the usual pleasantries when she mentioned she was from Michigan. My ears perked up. "Really? I'm from Michigan too," I said with a smile.

She then casually mentioned that she was from a little town called Kalamazoo. My heart skipped a beat. "No way!" I exclaimed. "I'm from Kalamazoo too!" The surprise and excitement in our voices were mutual. What were the chances?

In that moment, far from our shared hometown, we connected over memories of the same streets, the same local haunts, the same snowy winters. It was as if we had found a piece of home in each other. I was so thrilled that I asked if we could take a picture together. I wanted to capture this unexpected connection and share it with everyone back home. We posed, smiling widely, and I couldn't wait to post it on social media. After all, how often do you meet someone from your exact hometown, especially in such a random setting?

That day reminded me that no matter how far we go, home has a way of finding us when we least expect it. And sometimes, it shows up in the form of a new friend from Kalamazoo.

I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have the incredible honor of officiating the wedding of my beautiful niece, Sofia, this October in San Antonio, Texas. 🌿💍

From the moment she came into our lives, Sofia has always held a special place in my heart. I still vividly remember babysitting her, watching her explore the world with endless curiosity. One of my fondest memories is of her trying out our grandma’s pots and pans and banging away. I believe she was dreaming of being a drummer—such a sweet and adventurous spirit! 🥁❤️

Seeing her grow into the amazing person she is today fills me with so much pride and joy. Being a part of her journey and now witnessing her take this wonderful step is truly a dream come true.

I can’t express how grateful and excited I am to be a part of this special day. It’s not just an honor; it’s the best job ever! Here’s to love, family, and unforgettable moments ahead. 💕✨

This morning at 7:30 AM, I had the privilege of officiating a beautiful ceremony at Gazebo Number One, located in downtown Corpus Christi, Texas. With the majestic USS Lexington in view and the tranquil ocean as our backdrop, the scene was nothing short of magical. Every ceremony I conduct fills me with gratitude and joy, reminding me how blessed I am to have a job that unites families and creates lasting memories. Today, June 13, 2024, was truly special, and I’m honored to have been part of it. 🌅✨

Let’s hear it for the bears! Ok friends and family, I need your help!!! I have 107 St. Jude’s teddy bears and puppy dogs that need to find a home!!! Each one sells for $14.99 ($16.23 after tax) and all proceeds goes to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to help kids with cancer! This is an organization that is very near and dear to me!!! If you can help me find a home for these guys, you are welcome to take them home with you or donate it back (the ones that get donated back find their way to The Ark, Driscoll Children’s hospital, and the fire/police department to be loaded onto trucks/cruisers for the CCFD/CCPD to give to comfort kids when they get called to various scenes)!
