Course map for this weekends race!
Remember, race starts at 7a.m (all runners will start at the same time)

Race will start at the top of the hill in the grass behind the duck pond (there is a sidewalk leading up to this area)
The race will end on the street between the duck Pond and the pavilion

Although most of the race is in the grass, the last 1/2 mile will be on the road. Therefore, medal spikes are not recommended

Cross Country Invitational Season Opener 5k

•Registration is still open .com
•Sign up individually and/or join a team
•Teams must have a minimum of 7 runners
• Teams can be made up of a mixture of girls, boys, men and women (regardless of age)
•Teams can have as many runners, BUT only the first 7 will count for the points
•Teams can consist of schools/run clubs/or just a group of friends (ex. Carroll High School/ Southside Runners)
•All runners will start at the same time
•This is NOT a relay
•Teams are timed using a Cross Country points system. The team with the lowest score wins. Points are awarded to each teams first seven runners to cross the finish line. Example:
1 place = 1 point
3 place = 3 points
4 place = 4 points
19 place = 19 points
24 place = 24 points
30 place = 30 points
33 place = 33 points

Team Total = 114 points

This week, only all registrants will be automatically entered for a change to win a Garmin Forerunner....Good Luck!

In an effort to fight childhood obesity, V Fit Productions has teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of Corpus Christi and created “V Fit’s Get Fit Program.” Together we will provide inspiring race events to the general community and a portion of all proceeds will go towards providing the kids with new fitness activities to keep them healthy. The City of Corpus Christi and its Office of Emergency Management Ready CC are actively monitoring Hurricane and will continue to track the weather situation throughout the coming days. Collaboration with the US National Weather Service Corpus Christi Texas is ongoing to prepare for any potential impacts. At this time, Beryl's track in the Gulf remains uncertain.

Here are some important steps to ensure community safety:

✅ Gather Emergency Supplies: Stock up on food, water, and supplies to sustain each family member for several days.

✅Make an Emergency Plan: Ensure everyone in your household is familiar with and understands your hurricane plan.

✅Prepare Your Home: Secure your surroundings, protect windows and doors, be ready to turn off power, and store drinking water in clean containers.

The City encourages all residents to take these precautions seriously and remain vigilant. The safety of our residents remains a top priority.
