We are excited to announce that PRAx has received a Teiger Foundation grant to support 3 years of programming guided by Chief Curator Ashley Stull Meyers. 🥳
In 2024–25, Stull Meyers will present three exhibitions focused on the work of Black, Indigenous, and Asian artist-researchers in digital rendering, mapping and who approach the future and technological progress with an ethical concern. The projects will feature existing work alongside new commissions developed through exchanges with OSU’s faculty or residencies in university research centers.

We are among 50 curators and 33 institutions across the US to receive a grant through the Foundation’s annual Call for Proposals. The grants support innovative curatorial projects in contemporary art that further new research, broaden opportunities for diversity and inclusion, and embrace more sustainable practices. The grants fund a full range of curatorial activities, from conducting research and mounting exhibitions to hosting touring shows and realizing three years of programming.

PRAx | Refik Anadol Data Crystal: OSU
Mesmerizing. Innovative. Extraordinary. ✨ Refik Anadol Studio’s sculpture “Data Crystal: OSU” is the only permanent artwork in PRAx – and it epitomizes the fusing of art, science, and technology.
On view to the public beginning April 6.
Commissioned through Oregon’s Percent for Art in Public Places Program, managed by the Oregon Arts Commission.
“Data Crystal : OSU” is derived in part from nearly 10,000 of bioacoustics recordings collected through the collaborative work of the Matthew Betts lab at Oregon State University, the Pacific Northwest Research Station, and the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest Long-Term Ecological Research Site.
Data Collected by Nina Ferrari and Damon Lesmeister, Pacific Northwest Bioacoustics Lab.
