Little soapbox moment incoming! 📣
There’s a big part of my life that I don’t talk about often, but it’s shaped me in ways I never expected. Since moving to Corvallis 11 years ago, I’ve served on 8 boards and counting, including a term as a Budget Commissioner for the City of Corvallis. It’s been a deep dive into city government, full of listening, learning, and realizing that even after a decade, there’s always more to understand.
One thing I have learned? Real change starts at the local level. Your voice and vote matter here immensely. If you’ve ever felt like making a difference is out of reach I encourage you to get involved- whether it’s within the city or county, join a board/committee! You have more power than you think.
