I had a great day, for once picked a conservative outfit anticipating cold weather for it to be the mildest Jan 31 that I can remember. We are deeply saddened by the news of baking icon Sylvia Weinstock and her passing at the age of 91. 💔 Known for her high as the sky cakes and her awe inspiring sugar-flower work, she defined what true artistry and design could be within the wedding industry. More than that, she was a mother, a wife, an artist and a friend. A firecracker who loved to make people laugh, who for 69 years was never far from her husband Benjamin, who raised three children and built a business after battling breast cancer. Sylvia was the stuff to which legends are made and her mark on the wedding industry will never be forgotten. 🍰 Rest in peace, Sylvia.
