As protocols and entry requirements keep changing all the time we thought we'd give you a quick update on changes in The Bahamas. The current requirement is to register a negative test result taken within 3 days prior to your arrival into The Bahamas. For vaccinated travellers aged 12 and above and all children aged 2-11, this can be a Rapid Antigen Test. For unvaccinated travellers aged 12 and above it has to be a PCR Test.

All visitors to The Bahamas must now take a Rapid Antigen Test after 2 days in the islands. This is part of the Bahamas Health Visa and arrangements will be made locally. For guests of the larger hotels they are being made available on site whilst others may have to go to an external clinic or Doctor's Hospital in Nassau. The cost for this is covered within the mandatory health insurance policy.

The list of international travel destinations that your clients can safely travel to is ever-changing, so all outbound passengers should check with the U.S. Embassy or Canadian Government and their preferred airline before finalizing travel plans. And while the Government of Canada has strongly advised against non-essential travel, our Destination Experts are happy to help you craft trips for your Canadian clients departing later in the year and into 2022.

Bahamas: Open to Americans and Canadians with restrictions. Travelers must provide proof of a negative PCR test taken no more than 5 days prior to date of arrival (the day of the test is considered day zero). Children under 10 years of age are exempt. Effective May 1, 2021, travelers from other countries who are fully vaccinated and have passed the 2-week immunity period will be exempted from COVID-19 testing requirements for entry and inter-island travel.

Grenada: Open to fully vaccinated travelers as of May 1, 2021. Travelers must apply for a travel authorization and provide proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to travel. Travelers must also take a PCR test upon arrival and quarantine for 48 hours at an approved accommodation, until they receive a negative test result.

Europe:
Croatia: Open to fully vaccinated travelers. Travelers must provide a certificate confirming they have been vaccinated with two doses (or one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine). The second dose must have been received more than 14 days prior to arrival. Unvaccinated travelers must provide a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival. Those staying for more than 10 days must repeat the test once during their stay.

For the first 24-48 hours while waiting for test results, vaccinated travelers cannot leave their hotel grounds other than to visit a limited number of approved sites and National Parks at specific time slots. Unvaccinated travelers must provide proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of boarding your flight. A second PCR test must be taken 5-7 days after arrival. A third PCR test must be taken 10-14 days after arrival.
