This Is for all Veterans. I watched Magnum P I tonight. The episode is Season 5 Episode 19. Titled Ashes to Ashes. A major part of the show had to do with VETERANS CRISIS LINE. The story was about volunteers at the crisis center. They got a call from a Veteran who was in the process of taking a lot pills and was committing su***de. Family problems, he was wounded in action, possibly burned, was worried about dying alone but he had a boy. Wife left him awhile ago. They talked, and another volunteer worked to find out where he was in the world. They found him and saved him.
What I am getting at is there are many Veterans, Men and Women, who are really hurting, real veterans who really went through worse than hell. This has been happening all through time. It’s really rough for them. When they call the Crisis line they really are asking for help. It’s not easy to figure this out. I am a former Enlisted and an Officer in the US Army. I never saw action, not that I ever wanted too. My Dad, Robert C Hoffman, who ended up a Major and was a Silver Star Recipient for action in WWII in Germany. All of these Men and Women serve and volunteer for our country. Some die, most live, and a lot come home wounded physically or mentally. They need our help; help not pity. Thank you for your service just doesn’t cut it. It does help though.
If you know someone who is a Veteran or currently serving and they need help please share the website and phone number so they can get the help they need. Most of all be friend. Feel free to share this. Thanks, Steve Hoffman. https://www.veteranscrisisline.net/ #:~:text=Available%2024%2F7%3A,how%20much%20information%20to%20share.
