We are one week away and I am so excited! If you don't have plans for Labor Day, please consider coming to the Annual Labor Day Festival at Cheney Stadium, hosted by the 9th and 10th Horse Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers Museum. It's a free event with back to school hair cuts, live band, live kids pirate comedy performance, face painting, art and bubble stations, video game truck, and tons of fun games. There will be two softball games at Cheney Stadium. First, at 11am, the Tacoma Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 31 play against the ILWU Local #23, and at 2:30pm the Army takes on the Air Force! Several food trucks, organizations, and businesses will be there a well. My family looks forward to this event and I know yours will too! Enjoy this last bit of summer before school starts, with a day of celebrating. We hope to see you there!

What a picture perfect day for this beautiful couple. Every part of their day felt like a fairytale. Between the venue, vendors, classical elegance, custom sweets, and all the love surrounding them, this wedding day filled all our hearts. Hope. It's a tale as old as time. Sometimes we have specific expectations of what that looks like. What that means. And for many of us, we are met outside of our expectations and aren't sure where to find it. We continue through, waiting for that hope. The show must go on. For me, your wedding days bring me such a moving reminder of hope. Hope in people, hope in love, hope in all of us.
Nish and Melissa's wedding was inspired by all of the above. They were planning in the midst of Covid unknowns. Lots of waiting with then the choice to postpone. Then their venue went out of business. That process was rough for many of us. Their wedding was inspired by their venue. Starting back at square one wasn't easy. But with their postponed date came a new opportunity. The way their eyes beamed as we toured The Ruins had me thrilled. We were able to take that inspiration and those plans and enhance them. We were all stunned. Their wedding day was magical. The only thing missing was the dancing dishware. Their love and the love of their friends and family was one of the most unique and spectacular experiences. Nish and Melissa, thank you for being incredible as the pages turned. You wanted to create an unforgettable experience and we did just that! Watching you two shine on your wedding day was such a gift! I am forever grateful for your patience and grace. I would say every last detail was well worth the wait! I'm so happy for the two of you and am honored for the opportunity to work with and get to know you. I am so excited for the next adventure in your story 💜

Lauren and Adam filled the day with so much love and filled my heart in the best ways. Lauren has been dreaming of this day for so long and everything turned out absolutely perfect. Remembering Lauren as a little girl and seeing her grow into this incredible woman, getting to share this day with them was so touching. Adam, your heart for Lauren moves mountains. You both keep thanking me, but I am so thankful for the two of you! I couldn't imagine a better day, no matter how hard I try.

There is something very touching, magical, and spiritual about this old chapel. Add in a beautiful traditional ceremony, and you can feel the love quickly fill this space.

If you have never been to Port Gamble, you need to. It's the cutest little town with an incredible experience. The opportunities for your wedding are endless. Kathy and Erikk fell in love with this venue and so did I! The pops of color, the old pews, the fact they can ring the bell after their ceremony for the town to hear 😍
Kathy and Erikk are high school sweethearts who have the most incredible amounts of love surrounding them. From the Filipino-Christian traditions to their families and friends to the decor to the Polish family toast and song - my heart was soaring. So many tears of love and cherishing one another throughout the whole day was my favorite thing. The details were absolutely stunning, don't get me wrong. Bernadette was amazing to get creative and work with on the floral arrangements. The food was mouth watering. The DJ brought the moves and many laughs. And the company was something I was an honor to be a part of.
Kathy and Erikk, thank you for asking me to be a part of such an incredible day. The love that pours out of your families will only continue to overflow your lives as you grow. It was truly a pleasure to get to know you. 💜

This is my 6th year in business. I have noticed that Coordinators and Planners seem to be the most underrated in our industry. I am all for being budget friendly and creative in your planning, but this explains so much more. It's a really good read.

When you take into account how much time and effort a wedding planner puts into your day, it becomes a lot easier to see their value.

Evan + Laura

During 2020 we saw many couples decide to elope or have minimonies instead of their planned wedding. Evan and Laura were one of those couples, but they still wanted to have their big wedding to celebrate with all their family and friends. After meeting all of them, I know exactly why too!
Their wedding was stunning. The vendors were fabulous. We completely transformed their venue space and took Laura's breath away upon the reveal.
The people that surround Laura and Evan are a testiment to the type of people they are. So much love overflowed for them every step of the way and it was truly a joy and honor to be a part of it all.
Evan and Laura, I am so thrilled for your life together. Thank you for letting me help make this day magical.

The past two years I have learned what it really means to pivot and embrace every step of it. We have had all sorts of challenges thrown at us. And this one has been one of my favorites. Like a real life story book wedding
Makenzie + Coles

I started working with Makenzie and Coles shortly after their engagement. They were referred to me by a previous bride (the best!!) and we clicked right away. We had about a year and a half to plan their Seattle wedding while they were living in Oklahoma. Suddenly they had a tragic loss in the family and decided to elope. In 3 months. In Arkansas. When I saw the venue I knew exactly why and was so excited to be a part of this! Through IG and Google searches, we found an incredible team to pull off such a magical day. A florist familiar with the venue, friends and family willing to travel, an AirBNB for the reception, a photographer sending me updates throughout the day. It was absolutely perfect. I was sad to not be physically there, but I celebrated with them from my home, especially with each update from Kevin and Makenzie and Coles! They have been on adventures since they said I do. I can't wait to meet them in person some day. Their love is beautiful and their story is one for the books. 💜
