Throw back! I love this woman with all my heart! I met her when I needed help with my phone. She just has this amazing energy/vibe or whatever you want to call it so even though I had never met her before, I asked her if she would come to my studio so I could take photos of her. In the least creepiest way possible! She came to my studio and we had some fun and totally connected heart to heart and since then I’ve gotten the pleasure of photographing her and her husband, maternity photos, newborn photos, and she is just one of the most precious people to me. So, for all you photographers who are obsessed when you run into people and they have those beautiful catch lights in their eyes, and you question whether you should be bold and ask them if they will trust you to take their photos, I just have one word, no two words, do it!

I am so excited and proud to share some good news about some of my photography work. I am involved in a group of worldwide award winning photographers and from time to time, there are opportunities to submit work for "accreditation".
The photos are judged on several criteria including expression & connection, styling, composition, posing, lighting, overall technique and presentation, focus and storytelling. When I tell you that I sometimes feel like a little fish in a big pond, it is no joke! The talent in this group is beyond comprehension. So, to submit my work is a bit scary, to be honest, but it is the only way for me to really grow. I got feedback on each of the images with what worked and what needs to be improved upon.

This round I am so proud to say that one of my images scored higher than any other entries that I have submitted! A personal best and that was my goal!

I love people. I love having you in front of my camera....I know it's a big deal. I am honored when you trust me to do my very best to portray your best self. Do you need an updated headshot? Do you need or want to be photographed with someone you love? Please reach out to me, I'd love to talk with you! The hardest part is reaching out. I promise that we will talk through everything! I will work with you on an overall vision including professional hair & make up, styling, posing from head to toe, etc. Let's do it!

I’ve always loved special photos and have always had a camera in my hands whether it be an instamatic (dating myself here), a polaroid, a point and shoot or even my phone. I bought my first DSLR back in 2010 and have been hooked since then. I started my photography business a few years later. I am constantly learning and love the challenge of striving to create a technically and creatively gorgeous portrait.

I love people, so it’s no wonder that I see the beauty that is in every person. Anytime I can have someone in front of my camera, I am so happy! People are so beautiful and I love to work towards capturing the essence of who you are.

I also enjoy photographing families (especially the real stuff ... not always perfect smiles). I’m obsessed with photographing couples and would love to talk with you about photographing your engagement and/or wedding too.
