Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love what I do.

Well, yesterday the wedding of Kirsti and Hunter tugged at my heart.

Growing up as a kid, we lived not to far from the Kimmels, which made us also go to school together.

Kirsti’s class at Covington I had as their advisor all through their high school days. So, when she asked me to decorate and be her “ day off” coordinator for her wedding, I was both thrilled and honored.

Yesterday seeing both of these amazing, kind hearted families come together for their kids wedding, it was just so touching!

Congratulations to you both, I wish you nothing but love and many years of happiness and joy! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting Heather and I be a part of your special day!

The day was perfect in so many ways from the beautiful weather to the food and of course celebrating your love with so many friends and family!

Cheers to a lifetime full of love!! You both are so deserving of only the best life gives you.

What a beautiful weekend that lies ahead for this couple. Temperatures are going to be so comfortable, gorgeous sunshine with such a pretty setting.
Kirsti and Hunter, it’s going to be THE perfect day all around.

Last thing left for me to do is to fold the napkins how Kirsti would like them to be, and all will be checked off my list!!

Side note - I am probably just as excited for the cooler temps on Saturday, as I was actually getting worried that all the candles would melt before they were even lit! lol

Had a “finalizing” consultation with Kirsti this morning.
2 weeks from today we go into the Tin Roof Events to start the transformation of a regular barn into a “fairytale” event all set among florals in white and blush along with the softness of glowing candlelight.

From design to reality today. I have 6 of the 10 centerpieces for cocktail tables for an August wedding complete.

With cocktail tables, you don’t want regular sized centerpieces as guests mingle and lay drinks down on the tables. However, you still want the vision the bride has to carry through the whole venue, and with the tables being on a patio, candles were just not wise at all.

So, with the bride having whites and greenery, I put together these. Not over the top but still just right and the holders are in a rose blush color so it all ties together with her colors.

I have now designed the 10 centerpieces for the cocktail tables that will be out on the patio at the Tin Roof Events for the Barnes/Kimmel wedding. In my head and on paper they will look gorgeous! Now, next is just creating them.

I’m at it again, designing and creating arch florals for the August wedding of the Barnes/Kimmel wedding.

Kristi loves the look of white with her sage green color, and a hint of blush. For her arch, she requested white draping with florals. So, with these arrangements there are white roses, neutral roses with a blush peonie intwined with greenery. With pictures and it being outside with hopefully plenty of sunshine, a touch of the neutral and blush color will stand out with the white fabric.

The florals are not quite identical (pretty close) but that’s the beauty of it, nature itself is not identical.

**Thank god for zip ties. They are my best friend when creating arrangements.

The Buckeye Barn sits just a short drive northeast of Piqua. It spacious barn and immaculate grounds makes this a popular wedding venue for couples.

We had the privilege of decorating for this sweet bride a couple years back and between the florals and the colors it made for some beautiful pictures. The staircase was adorned with pastel purples and greenery and took almost 2 hours to get the look, but was so worth it to see the finished look.

The bride, her mom and sister looked stunning and only added to the finished staircase that became the focal point to their special day.

Tip… if your venue has a staircase, fireplace or any wall that can add to the decor, utilize it to the fullest. We decorators know how to customize and get the look you want to achieve for that memorable event. Trust in your decorator!

Backdrops…yay or nay??

Weddings over the years have changed a bit when it comes to certain things.

One piece of a wedding that has a bit is the “backdrop”. It use to be the flowing fabric behind the head table, and could be with different colors to accent your wedding colors. That today is still popular. However, floral designs and arrangements along with fireplaces have also come into the picture. And then, you have nature and arbors that are and can be stunning in your photos.

So, the choice is of course totally up to you and the look you are wanting to achieve. We have done all types, and I personally have no favorite, as I just love the challenge of designing and creating the perfect one for that perfect day.

When deciding if and what style, keep in mind, are there things that you want covered, is there something in the room that you want as your focal point, or how will it hold up if outside with temperature, weather conditions, and of course wind.

Dream Come True guides you through all those things and is here to help with your decision.
