Today I have a wedding scheduled in Peachtree City, GA. My warehouse is located in an industrial area in Conyers , GA. I packed the cargo van last night and went to pick it up from the warehouse this morning. When we arrrived at 8 am , the road was blocked and we were told we would not be able to get in for several hours. My mind started racing , how am I going to get all the decor for my clients wedding. Survival mood kicked…I explained the situation to the deputies on site, that I only need 5 minutes to get the cargo van. They said NO WAY! I requested a supervisor, he arrived 20 minutes later. I explained the situation again and stressed that I could quickly be in and out. I was able to get the cargo van because it was already packed. I drove 1/8 th of a mile to my warehouse and jumped in the van. The road closure was completely out of my control but I remained calm and respectful , which allowed me to be able to get the decor. My take away from this is, to be prepared as possible and show up early. You never know what obtical you may have to over come on wedding day. Our prayers are with all those affected by this situation.
