For those of you that don't know Morgan was a patron of Warehouse and later Darkotica. She was involved in a head-on collision last week that made the news. She is a great person and didn't deserve this misfortune coming home from work. Her family set up a fund to help her kids as she's still in a medically induced coma. Help keep an industrial landmark intact.

Hello Wax Trax People!

We are asking for your help with this call to action.

Julia Nash and the Nash family are trying to work with the city of Chicago to designate the original WAX TRAX! storefront at 2449 N. Lincoln Ave. an official historical and cultural landmark.

The north side building was the Wax Trax! headquarters from 1977-1994 for both the store and independent label.
We need as many signatures for our online petition as possible by March 1. At that point, we will attach them to the Department of Planning Development paperwork.

As a historical landmark, the building can not be torn down or have the exterior altered. There will also include a plaque from the city to explain to visiting fans, why this building was so important to art, culture and music throughout the 1980s - 90s.

If the store or label has meant anything to you over the past decades, please take a few minutes to help us out with your signature. Wax Trax and Wax Trax fans from around the globe will be forever grateful to you.

Hey everyone, unfortunately I'm sure we've all looked outside at this point. Despite our best efforts (our best efforts being Spencer shooting in the air to kill the ghost of William "Storm Lord" Howard Taft and change the weather), things aren't improving and will only get worse overnight.

I'm sure this goes without saying but no club tonight.

Respect to Screamin' Jay, the one and only original.

Black History Month PSA: While goth and metal founders may be white, those musicians gave credit and respect to Screamin Jay Hawkins and inspiration.

With this being said, goth and metal can't be "white people" things when black people are the roots that the trees grow from. This goes toward goth gatekeeping, alienating blacks goths, and towards black alienating black goths. Not only does it make you an as***le, it makes you look stupid.
