I am the producer and creator of a mix/podcast series called "Change It Up". It features music from genres ranging from hip-hop/trap to house to tropical to club to deep and everything else in between. The mixes are posted to a music website based out of Philadelphia, PA known as TheMusies.com. They promote music across all genres and promote all things Philly music. The show is meant to help give

I Like to Push Buttons and Twist K***s

sherm is a music selecting, button pushing, house music loving kind of guy. His love of “Four to the Floor” beats and his passion for spinning tunes started back over 10 years ago. His quest to become a DJ, started like many others… practicing on old & sh*tty equipment and playing in friends basements. In 2011, he moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University. During his time at Temple, sherm, made his rounds through the bar scene and played his big nights in the crowded (many times overcapacity) frat basement of 2000 North Broad St. It was in the basement where sherm learned the finer points of playing on the “1s and 2s”.

After graduating from Temple, sherm expanded out of North Philadelphia. First stop on the list was a residency at the only Pool Day/Nightclub in Philadelphia, Monarch Philly. He spent many weeks over two years in front of the pool dropping tracks on beautiful summer days, playing alongside some of Philly’s best local DJ talent. This helped springboard him to be able to get into Philly’s top night clubs. Over the course of one year he worked his way into NOTO, a brand new state of the art “Vegas-Style” night club playing for the famous club photographer “Kirill Was Here”. Rumor, a renowned Philly night club, opening for one of the best international DJ/Producers in the world Laidback Luke. And, CODA, another of the considered “Big 3” of Philly nightclubs. The quest does not end here however, sherm looks to continue the success and to keep expanding to one day be playing shows and nightclubs around the world.
