I've spent several hours this winter giving the house a freshen up! I painted this little curio cabinet and had a blast filling it with some of my 'antique littles' that I had stowed away. No, the photos are not family members but I pretend that they are. I'm thinking the guy in the bowler hat must have been a gambler so he gets the 'playing cards' 😃 The war letter I've had for many years. It is so fragile! The '38 pocket diary has doodles in it and how much she paid for groceries that week. I just love this kind of stuff!

🩷 Happy ‘almost’ Valentine’s Day! 🩷
See the little heart in the glass vase? That heart has been all over United States. Years ago my Sister-in-law, Rhonda April found the pillow for me because I did a long-running fund raiser for an organization that meant a lot to me, The National MPS Society for our daughter, Kaitlynn. The name of the fund raiser was “Hugs & Kisses.”

That was nearly 30 years ago and since that time my husband and I have passed that little pillow around. He travels so I would hide it in his suitcase, sometimes in his work boot, or inside a sock. After it was found he would take his turn and hide it in places like the morning coffee can, my sock drawer and other places where I least expected it.

It has been missing for a couple of years now. Brian asked me, “Whatever happened to our little pillow?”

I responded, “I have no idea! Obviously I hid it well!”

Recently he was fishing around in his suitcase and found the little pillow in a zipped pocket that he never uses. It’s been hiding there for at least two years. 😁

Long story short, “Game back on for me and my Valentine.”

I had this oak mirror (a salvage piece) that we bought several years ago from Madison Street Salvage. Brian helped me 'marry' it to the top of our Court Buffet that we've had for years. He also made a decorative trim to go under the mirror as a finishing touch.... Which is so pretty Brian Wellman ❤️

The colors of the two pieces are not a perfect match but I'm going to live with that fact. 😁 I'll take another picture after I decide how I'm going to decorate it!
