🚀🌌 Out of This World Fun at Space Camp! 🌌🚀

Today was packed with galactic adventures! Our campers got messy and creative making galaxy slime that sparkled like the stars ✨. Then we dove into engineering as we built our very own robotic arms – testing our designs by picking up objects and pretending we were working in zero gravity!

We also took a moment to be inspired by the incredible Dr. Ellen Ochoa, the first Latina astronaut in space 🧑‍🚀. Campers learned about her journey and how she used robotics and science to reach for the stars 🌟.

And to finish the day with a bang… BattleBots! 🤖 Our bots went head-to-head in the arena, and the energy was sky high. Campers cheered each other on as they coded and strategized to win the ultimate robot showdown!

Despite an unexpected power outage and blazing temps over 100°, our campers blasted off into fun before an early dismissal. ☀️⚡️

✅ Navigated a space maze

✅ Powered through challenges like real astronauts
✅ Smiled through the heat with mini flashlights in hand!

🚀 DAY 1 of SPACE CAMP: We Have Liftoff! 🌙🛠️

From coding to creativity, our campers launched into a stellar first day filled with exploration and fun!

✨ We built lunar landers inspired by the amazing Margaret Hamilton and tested them with real “moon landings.”

🎬 Campers used astronaut erasers to star in their very own stop-motion space films—and got to take them home!

🤖 We programmed Dash robots and practiced navigation like real mission control teams.

🧲 Bonus fun? Magnatile rocket towers, marble run engineering, Minecraft-style magnetic block worlds, and a water bottle system that kept us hydrated and organized.

We can’t wait to see where tomorrow’s mission takes us! 💫
