On Monday, March 8, 2021, Johnny Ray Phillips, loving husband, father, Big daddy, brother, son, and friend passed away at age 63. He was born on September 4, 1957 in Lepanto, Ar to Ruth and Junior Phillips.

Johnny was married to the love of his life, Hilda, for 29 years. He raised two daughters Shannon and Sarah, and had three precious grandchildren Wyatt, Stella, and Jasmine who he loved with his whole heart.

Johnny retired from AT&T with 35 years of service. He was a member of HSOA for many years and loved driving his motorcycle across the country. He was also a member of Delta Cruisers where he loved to show off the Shelby. He had many passions and hobbies over the years, but his favorite was the restoration of Bethel Cemetery in Crawfordsville. He was known for his quiet demeanor and giving spirit. He was loved by all that knew him and truly a blessing to his community.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert and Kay Allen and Fred and Blanche Gammill. He is survived by his wife, Hilda, daughters, Shannon (Steve) Shirley and Sarah Shahan, grandchildren, Wyatt, Stella, and Jasmine, his parents, Ruth and Junior Phillips, brothers, Kenny (Lisa) Phillips, Michael Phillips, Gilbert (Tammy) Phillips, and sister, Diane (Woody) Wheeless, and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life will be held upstairs at the cafe on March 21, 2021 at 1pm
