Find your spot along Route 390 in Mountainhome. Parade begins at the former Barrett Elementary Center and ends at the Mountainhome Methodist Church.

Special note from Rotary of the Pocono Mountains!

The 59th Annual Barrett Township Halloween Parade was one for the books! THANK YOU to everyone! How amazing were the floats this year!?

This parade has grown so much over the last few years and we're SO happy to see how many people make our parade part of their fall traditions. We love to see families and people of all ages smile in excitement as they hear the familiar sounds of the marching band approach. We're so impressed by the creativity and generosity of all our parade participants.

We'll see you again next year for the (SIXTIETH) 60th Annual Barrett Township Halloween Parade! 🧡🖤🧡

Tomorrow is the day! We have more participants signed up than ever before AND with the weather being 70 ☀️ we're sure it will be a record number watching the parade!

Please remember to be kind to emergency personnel, parade officials (we are ALL volunteers) and all your neighbors! 👻

Keep in mind... SANTA 🎅🎅🎅 AND Valcor Riding Stable with their beautiful HORSES will be the last float and hooves🐴 in the Parade!

NO vehicles are allowed to pull onto the parade route UNTIL the parade is over and the road has been opened by Police & Barrett Township Volunteer Fire Company! This is for the SAFETY of ALL!

Are you participating in this years parade?

Emails went out last night for those who are going to be in this years parade! Your email includes all the info you need and covers all the questions you may have! Including the staging map below, 2024 Parade Guidelines, FAQ and helpful tips!

Some key points...
• Staging area is 1200 Pennsylvania 390, Cresco, PA
• Staging area opens at 10am, participants should arrive between 10am and 1pm. Floats will be lined up as you arrive.
• Judging of the participants will start at 12:45pm, please have your float ready at that time!
• Participant parking is available in parking lot of staging area located Barrett Admin & Rec Complex.
• Food will be on-site with snacks and drinks for purchase.
• Volunteer shuttle running approximately every 20 minutes from the end of the parade route back to the staging area if needed.
• All floats, vehicles and bands will be dispersed into the parade line-up at Parade Chairperson direction and discretion. Please be patient!

Reminder! As our parade grows!

Because of the increased number of floats and large vehicles we have made a slight change to the end of the parade route. (same as last year)

Please be aware that ALL FIRE AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES will be exiting the parade route at the Brutzman Extension directly across from Spruce Cabin Road. This departure from the route will only apply to fire and emergency vehicles. For the safety of all involved, no candy will be thrown after this point so that all our floats are alert and able to exit the parade route safely. This change is required to mitigate the congestion at the end of the parade route and facilitate a safe flow of traffic and accessibility for emergency vehicles. We apologize for any inconvenience!
Make sure you bring some extra candy bags! With this many floats you're sure to need them!

There are several businesses along the route that will be allowing parking the day of the parade! We will try to have as many signs posted as we can to help! Some we know...

If you are a business or property owner and will also allow parking please feel free to post here and we will update our list!

We strongly suggest car pooling if you can. Also, PLEASE be mindful of posted - NO PARKING signs that you will see on parade day. These are there to ensure that in case of an emergency we are able to get emergency vehicles through!

Route 390 and sides roads will begin to close around 1:30pm!
