City of Bowie, Led by Mayor Tim Adams and the City Council Awards Grant to No Bullying Bear Foundation for Anti-Bullying Programs.
Bowie, MD — In a powerful step toward promoting safer school environments, the City of Bowie—under the leadership of Mayor Tim Adams—has awarded a grant to the No Bullying Bear Foundation to support its mission of delivering anti-bullying education to students across the city. Mayor Adams introduced the initiative to the City Council, where it received unanimous approval.
The grant will allow the Foundation to expand its reach by bringing its impactful anti-bullying assemblies to every public and private school within the City of Bowie. These interactive programs are designed to educate students on the realities of bullying, encourage empathy, and inspire a culture of kindness and inclusion.
“We are incredibly honored and grateful to Mayor Adams and the City Council for their commitment to student well-being,” said Ciara Hosein, M.TH, Founder and CEO of the No Bullying Bear Foundation. “This grant allows us to ensure that no child in Bowie is left behind when it comes to receiving meaningful, preventative education on bullying.”
The No Bullying Bear Foundation uses a blend of evidence-based strategies, storytelling, and interactive elements—including its engaging mascot, the No Bullying Bear—to deliver age-appropriate programming for students of all grade levels.
Assemblies are scheduled to take place throughout the remainder of the school year, with the Foundation aiming to reach every school within the city limits by the end of the academic term.
This partnership reflects the City of Bowie’s ongoing investment in youth development, school safety, and mental wellness.
