Although we do travel to other places for events, our true desire is always to be at our home venue, Stonebridge at Newport in Crosby, TX, where memories and nostalgia inspire us. Growing up in this community we spent many Sunday afternoons right here with our parents and friends. We played on the golf course, swam in the pools, rode our bikes down Country Club Drive, and learned good table manners at big dinners in the main dining room (with live piano performances!)
It holds a special place in our hearts.💕

A glimpse into In Joy: Celebrations of Life.

This is a topic we are asked about a lot. How is it done?

In partnership with Sterling-White Funeral Home & Cemetery and Crespo & Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services In Joy is often called to cater during visitation for funeral or memorial services.
Funeral directors meet with families, and if catering is requested, we are called. We do not meet directly with families; all scheduling and financials are done in conjunction with the funeral home.

Our mission is to provide moments of respite.

We prepare all items off-site at our kitchen facility and arrive 1-2 hours before the family. We take seriously the unique catering and preparation standards required for funeral homes in Texas and never cut corners.

Working quickly and quietly, we set up a beautiful table, much like you see here and in our other posted photos/videos. Some tables are more intimate, and other tables are quite substantial in size; we pride ourselves on being good stewards of the families financial investment.

In hospitality, tableware is part of creating mood and making the experience more enjoyable, so we carefully choose the items from which we serve: custom-made boards, heat sources for hot foods, and beautiful ceramic bowls and platters.

Decor is often simple, clean, and seasonal. Specialty items and personalized embellishments are also added at the family's request without hesitation.

Before exiting, we present the table to the presiding funeral director, and together we double-check that every detail is in place. Aesthetics matter: visuals, scents, table flow, color transitions, and fine details.

Ambassadors, who are volunteers, kindly take down the table and store our items until we return. It is a great team effort.

It is one of our greatest joys to serve these families.

What a fantastic food expo with Ben E. Keith! This year, the oyster display truly stole the show - it was absolutely delicious. Another highlight was connecting with the exceptional sales specialist from Markon and Dole, followed by a great visit with Miguel Cabrera, who keeps us all informed with his weekly crop updates. To cap off the day, I had the pleasure of visiting with the Pie in the Sky Co., who generously loaded me up with goodies to take home. All in all, it was a truly great day! Enjoy the photos. 🌟

In Joy is an independently owned professional catering business, located in Crosby, TX, serving all surrounding areas, including Houston.
We provide catering services to individuals, groups, businesses, and venues, and work directly with clients to design and execute a variety of events, including, but not limited to:

So who are we? Just two sisters, having fun, doing what we love to do - feeding our family great food, laughing, and hanging out together. Early in the summer of 2019, we decided to officially open In Joy Kitchen, a small-batch dinner service, and share our passion for great food, the recipes we learned from our mom and grandmothers, and some funny family photos along the way.

Our mission is to provide your family with a great meal that’s table-ready so you and your loved ones can unwind, unplug, and just BE TOGETHER. No stress, no mess, and no dishes.

We hope you take advantage of this great once-a-week service, budget it into your grocery or dining for the month, and really enjoy your evening together.
