Patti Shaffner performs a wide variety of musical styles including, Folk, Blues, Jazz, Theater and Improvisational Singing with ease. She writes and performs her own music, solo as well as collaboratively. As a seasoned performer, Patti is dynamic and engaging on stage. Her music is thought provoking and reaches out to the heart of our longing for connection with love and hope. She puts her heart and soul into whatever she sings.

She has studied improvisational singing with both Bobby McFerrin and Mistress of Improv Singing, Rhiannon, and is skilled at leading groups of all ages in the style of spontaneous song known as ‘Circle Singing’.

In 2015 her song ‘Blessings’ won her the First in Singer/Songwriter Category of The Great American Song Contest. She has garnered other awards and honors for her songwriting skills.

Patti performs Solo, with the Folk Trio, SongSisters: Amy Dixon-Kolar and Sue Fink and with Jazz Musicians Leandro Lopez Varady, Scott Pazera, Lannie Turner, Bill Romer, Buddy Pearson & The BP3 and others.

With seamless ex*****on, Lauren Dukes delivers a wide variety of genres from Soul, Opera, & everything in between. Like many of her favorite singers, she started in church at age 5. By 10, she was singing with the Chicago Children's Choir. In college, Lauren enjoyed a brief stint in theater, then set her sights on being a lead singer. She is currently the female lead of the acclaimed Chicago-based cover band Spoken Four (spin-off of the popular cover band Maggie Speaks).

Next Tuesday! Be there!

Are you looking for a fun, judgment-free environment to share your original music? Or maybe you’re working on new material and you’d like some outside input? Or do you just need a little more SDR in your life every week?

We’re excited to partner with Wildrose Brewing to bring you the Region’s first weekly full-band original music showcase, every Tuesday at 6:30pm starting in June!
Here’s how it works:
At 6:30, we kick things off.
Then at 7, we’ll hand over the spotlight to anyone who wants to play their original songs to a supportive and attentive audience from 7-8.
At 8, we’ll invite a few featured artists to the stage who want to share their new material and have it constructively critiqued in a group discussion led by us.

Billy Foster a respected pianist, composer, educator, producer and host of the "Billy Foster Jazz Zone". As an active professional musician for the past 35 years, he has performed across the U.S. with others, as well as with his own groups. Mr. Foster has written and produced recordings with both "Billy Foster And Audio" and the "Billy Foster Trio". He is a featured soloist on two of guitarist Henry Johnson's CD's on MCA Records. His work as pianist and composer with the "Valparaiso University Faculty Jazz Trio" can be heard on the CDs "For The Moment" and the 2010 recording "Journey". "Portrait "by the

"Billy Foster Trio" features more of his compositions in addition to vocals by Renee Miles-Foster. Mr. Foster has also written and produced music for several television commercials.

Over the years Foster has played concerts with such luminaries as Art Farmer, James Moody, Slide Hampton, Jimmy Heath, Ernie Watts, Tom Harrell, Red Rodney, Jon Faddis, George Coleman, Bobby Watson and many others. The " Billy Foster Jazz Zone" airs each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00AM - 1:00 PM on WGVE 88.7FM in Gary, In.
