THIS SATURDAY: RAAC is proud to support the John Jackson Piedmont Blues Festival- Rappahannock County- VA, which returns to Eldon Farms, Woodville VA this Saturday, September 28th. Gates open at 9:30am. Featured performers include The Nighthawks, Erin Harpe - Roots & Blues, Justin Golden, Bobby G and the Heavies, and Frank Fotusky.

This annual event celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of the festival's namesake: John Jackson, a Rappahannock native who became a world-renowned blues performer and a National Heritage Fellow, the highest honor bestowed on traditional and folk artists in the United States. Visitors to the festival can learn more about Jackson through a display of photos and articles, and storytelling from people who knew him. Food trucks will serve up the country favorites of the house parties where Jackson learned his trade.
