We have re-opened and have buckets of beautiful, fresh spring flowers!

We have new temporary hours based on the limited Cemetery hours.
Our hours (for now) are:

Monday - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Tuesday - Closed
Wednesday - Closed
Thursday - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Friday - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Saturday - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Sunday - 9:00am to 5:00pm

We have missed you all and can’t wait to see you!

The flower market this week is AMAZING ! I don't suggest that you under the professionals' feet a few days before Easter but you must get there soon if it is on your "todo" list. You should come home with arms full of blooms to brighten up your home or office. Be sure to remember a neighbor or friend to whom you owe a thank you or just a thinking of you nosegay. And don't forget your garden and patio. Way too many blooming plants out there so take your biggest car and a friend.

We are packing up after a wonderful winter season. It is nowhere near Spring yet but we are always happy when the Rose Parade is over. All of the best of Spring always follows in a few weeks. keep in mind that we will be happy to make special arrangements for you Valentine ! Enjoy the winter weather while it lasts. Nothing better than a hot bowl of popcorn in front of a crackling fire.

Easter was wonderful and a beautiful Spring celebration. Now we are looking forward to Mother's and Father's Days. Both are very busy at Ramsgate and another chance to help all of you honor two of the most important people in your lives. We are here for you.

Quick tip for you hydrangea lovers out there. We all know how they like to succumb to instant death by dehydration...never knew a flower that loved water so much !! If your pretty friends take a premature dive just remove them from their arrangement and submerge them in a sink full of cold water- submerge as in drown. Give their stem a fresh, angled cut first and in an hour or two they will be better than new. Repeat as needed. If you are bringing these blooms in from your garden or from a source other than a well tried professional florist you should really treat them to this little soak before arranging. You will be rewarded.

I have spoken with a few of my regulars who ordered flowers for their Valentines. I'm happy to report that some have a few stems still holding out and being enjoyed with fresh flowers added along the way. This is what happens when your florist sends you only the very freshest of flowers and knows how to process them appropriately so that you get the longest vase life. The fact that our weather has been cool helps. Remember to buy the flowers of the season as they will always be the best the same as buying the vegetables and fruits that are in your LOCAL season. California growers have lots to offer and I attempt to buy from them whenever I can. Keep planting...be happy !
