The opportunity to be a part of any wedding is a blessing and a gift, but this one is extra special. I have known the bride since she was seven years old. She is one of my favorite human beings. Her parents, her grandmother, and her her late great-grandmother are like family to me.

Chef Nicholas Lodge, world-renown pastry chef most recognized for his extraordinarily accurate sugar flower work, has passed away. Chef Lodge was an inspiration to the pastry community not just for his exceptional work, but for his genuinely kindhearted and humble nature. He was an encouragement to all and was never too busy nor too important to offer tips and suggestions to fellow decorators, no matter their level of experience or expertise.
Chef, you’ll be missed.
