A little life update: we’re having a baby in November! 🎀 probably explains why I’ve been absent on here for a little bit! This pregnancy has been pretty good so far- I feel lucky. But I’m feeling more, and more like myself now, and I will try to post more.

Wedding season is in full swing now, and I can’t wait to take you all along on all these beautiful weddings we have this year 🤍 it’s going to be such an incredible year!

Some tough truths about planning your wedding from a wedding planner

I promise your closest family and friends are SO excited about your wedding, and to celebrate you BUT no one’s going to care as much as you. Be realistic with your expectations when it comes to people celebrating multiple events, and traveling for you. They care about you I PROMISE, but everyone has different things going on if their life, and it realistically can’t be as important to them. Don’t ruin relationships over your wedding.

You may leave your wedding with some regrets. My advice is find the truly important parts of your day (how your bridal bouquet looks, a picture with your grandparents, sunset pictures) be very upfront to your vendors about these key elements, and have someone level headed and supportive with you throughout the day to be your sounding board. Take time alone after seeing your hair and makeup, bridal bouquet, etc. to make sure you really love it. Eliminate the chance of regret as much as possible.

You hired your dream vendors, now it’s time to let the professionals do their job. You’re going to stress yourself out even more if you try to micromanage your vendor team. Let us guide you, and take control of your day. You’ll be in great hands, so you can truly enjoy your perfectly planned wedding day

When it comes to your bridal party- just remember they didn’t sign on to DIY every part of your wedding, and set up your reception venue the morning of your wedding. Yes, friends/family with absolutely help if they’re able to, but it should not be expected. Consider hiring a wedding coordinator to help set up, and run your day

One of my favorite new trends is the audio guest book! Guests LOVE it, and it’s such a great memory to listen to all the voicemails from your guests. As the night goes on, they get funnier and funnier 🤣 Taylor wanted to elevate the experience for her guests, and this phone booth was the perfect home for the phone ☎️

It’s important you don’t start booking vendors until you see what you can realistically afford. Your guest count dictates so much when it comes to your wedding. You don’t want to fall in love with a venue that only fits 100 when you can’t cut your list from 175Your venue is obviously important! It decides a lot of the style and overall feel of your day.
