Losing a loved one is never easy. Losing one during the holidays makes it even harder.

We designed these end of life ceremony arrangements for Jenna’s father. She requested all greenery for a large spray and a long arrangement for the urn table.

We loved the shades of green, all the textures, and how simple, yet impactful the arrangements are. They turned out beautiful!

We were honored to be asked to decorate two homes for the Christmas Tour of Homes, hosted by in Millersburg.

Both homes have been completely restored by and turned into rentals through Airbnb.

Helena’s Cottage, also known as the Honeymoon Cottage, is a picture perfect one bedroom and one and a half bath. The charming pink exterior, stunning chef’s kitchen, and stately bedroom suite all work together to create this show stopper.

We chose a deep maroon ribbon, accents of gold, shades of red, and frosted fruits to complement the intricate 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments and the beautiful decor of the tree and mantels surroundings.

Across Main Street is the newest incredibly restored home in Millersburg. It’s the 3rd oldest house in town, built in the 1810’s.

A three bedroom and three and a half bath colonial estate. The finishings in the house are truly spectacular. We both want to move in…

For the living room, we went over the top with a decked out tree and mantle. Using shades of blue, real-touch cream and blue hydrangeas, shades of gold, and a touch of mercury helped pull the look together. And, that ‘Merry Christmas’ ribbon… such a statement.

For the dining room, we went more minimalist to showcase the beautiful farmhouse table and stately furnishings filling the space.

Both homes are beautiful centerpieces on Main Street, Millersburg. Check them out for a weekend getaway or for when family and friends visit!

Nice to meet you!

We are Stephen Furnish and Jonathan Furnish and we are excited to officially put a name on this floral journey we began over four years ago. A small floral project for a work event at the University of Kentucky lead to a family member asking if we could do their wedding. The rest, as they say, is history.

We have had the pleasure of working for several brides and event producers across central and northern Kentucky. Needless to say, we have found so much love and joy helping people turn their vision into a reality.

Born and raised in Cynthiana, KY, we are excited to offer our service to our hometown community and beyond.

We both have extensive experience with events, as you’ll see below.

Stephen: I’m Stephen (the one on the right). The older twin, by about 1 minute 🙂. I work full time as a director at Mustard Seed Hill, a venue in Millersburg, KY. We host weddings as well as private and community events, offer overnight lodging options, as well as work to revitalize the community of Millersburg.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, watching a good show or movie, reading a good book, going to as many concerts as I can, traveling when I’m able to, gathering with my family, and hanging out with my dog, Bentley.

Jonathan: Hello! I have spent almost 9 years planning and executing events at the University of Kentucky. First for the College of Agriculture and currently for the College of Engineering. Everything from a simple luncheon or award ceremony, to gala’s and multiple trips abroad. It takes so much attention to detail, something I pride myself in.

I also co-own the HCA Gems, an all-star competitive cheer program here in Cynthiana, with my wife Sam. Together we have two awesome boys, Fitz who is 6 and Myles who is thirteen months. We also have two dogs, Tucker and Annie.

We are excited to get to know more of the awesome people that make up the greatest commonwealth in the land, Kentucky!

Erica and Rowan had stunning fall weather to exchange vows at the picturesque Bluegrass Wedding Barn in Danville.

If you have not been to this venue, it is a standout! Surrounded by rolling hills, the outdoor ceremony site has complete 360 degree views of the Bluegrass.

The indoor reception venue is top class, as you are surrounded by former horse stalls, hanging lights, and loved ones.

Erica requested shades of white with just a hint of fall in the Quicksand Rose, one of our favorites.

From the statement ceremony arch, to the guest tables, bouquets, and sweetheart table, fresh blooms were featured throughout the day.

And talk about the sweetheart table…handmade by the groom as a surprise to his bride. Erica had recently lost her dad who had handmade something for each of his daughter’s weddings. To keep the tradition going, Rowan handmade this table and included Erica’s dad’s signature in the corner. It was so unique and no doubt special to many.

Wishing Erica and Rowan a lifetime of so much happiness. Thank you for choosing Twin Oaks!

Vanessa and Austin had picture perfect Kentucky weather for their wedding at Mustard Seed Hill.

Vanessa wanted soft blues and shades of white, with just a hint of burgundy to complement the fall colors starting to show on the grounds of the ceremony and reception.

The hydrangeas, delphinium, thistle, dusty miller, eucalyptus, and the deep tones of the agonis and ranunculus, all worked beautifully together to make a classic floral statement.

Macey and Ryan recently had a picture perfect fall wedding at Ashford Acres Inn.

Macey knew exactly what she wanted; a classic white base, with deep greens, and a touch of fall color in the •beautiful• toffee rose.

We have had some much needed rain these last few days. But, it’s been a bit dreary. So, let’s take it back a few weeks to Jeanie and Brian’s wedding ceremony full of bright blooms.

Jeanie was a pleasure to work with! She had a definite vision in mind; florals to match her shoes which featured shades of pink flowers with a touch of purple.
The rest was up to us.

For this couple we built a base of pink roses, spray roses, snapdragons, feverfew daisies, purple lisianthus, and Italian variegated pittosporum that were complimented with local dahlias, zinnias, anemones, and celosia. All blended so beautifully together, yet each flower was able to shine.

Brian was also great to work with. He contacted us, without Jeanie knowing, to arrange for a special matching floral piece as a surprise at their honeymoon cottage. How sweet is that?

We are wishing Jeanie and Brian all the best in this next chapter together.

Kylie and Seth’s wedding exuded southern elegance in every aspect.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our great aunt Violet. We were honored to be asked to do her casket flowers.

The family asked for shades of purple to match her favorite suit. The lilies and roses smelled amazing. We hope they helped to brighten the day of those closest to her.

She was one week shy of her 98th birthday. What a life she lived. We all need to remember to treasure this generation while we still can. They are a wealth of knowledge and should be cherished and appreciated.

Time really flies. How has it already been three years since Gracie and Jonathan’s wedding? Happy Anniversary you two!!

We love when a bride isn’t afraid of color! And we love it even more when we can create for family!

The pink and white dahlias, the feverfew daisies, solidago, ranunculus, and delphinium all came together to create a beautiful setting on the family farm.

And, can we talk about those bourbon barrel arrangements? So pretty and such a statement at the entrance to the ceremony space. They were later reused inside the reception tent.

We know flowers can be expensive, so we encourage brides to reuse arrangements when possible.

Lauren requested a simple and classic white color palette for her big day. She wanted white roses in a cloud of babies breath for her bouquet, so that’s exactly what we created for her. 

For the ceremony, simple bundles of babies breath and eucalyptus marked the aisle that led to a wooden cross with a custom floral arrangement. Making for a perfect backdrop for Devin and Lauren to say ‘I do’. 

We love working at ! Such a great wedding venue in central KY! The mature trees scattered throughout the grounds create such a beautiful backdrop.
