First dances don't always need to be formal! Your first dance should reflect your personalities as a couple. While this dance was choreographed, which may seem like a very formal thing to do for many, Maggie and Anthony are having the time of their lives, and THAT'S what matters!

Morning weddings aren't as common as evening weddings, but there are so many advantages to having a morning wedding! In Colorado, you're more likely to have great weather in the morning than in the afternoon (especially during the summer). That means you'll have a beautiful sunny outdoor ceremony followed by a fun cocktail hour with the possibility of having yard games like corn hole and giant Jenga, or even outdoor sports like football or volleyball. Instead of dinner, you can have brunch with bottomless mimosas. And for your dance party, you won't have to worry about being too noisy in the last hour of the reception (It's a real bummer when we have to turn music down at the end of the night because of noise ordinances). Also, due to the fact that morning weddings are not as popular as evening weddings, you could get a HUGE discount from your venue and caterers. Weddings are always best when they reflect the couple's personalities, and the pros and cons of a morning vs. evening wedding should always be factored in when you're planning your day. Spring has sprung in LA and there's no better time to get married in this beautiful city. The weather is typically perfect- in the mid-70's or low-80's, and there are flowers blooming EVERYWHERE. Such sweet smiles! Never underestimate how much your recessional song will enhance your mood after you tie the knot. Music is so powerful in setting the mood for you and all of your guests. Want to make your guests feel just as excited as you do? Maybe choose "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors. Want to start the dance party right after your ceremony? Maybe "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars (or your favorite song to dance to) is a great choice for you! If you're not sure, you can always ask your DJ for suggestions based off your music preferences. The most epic cake-in-the-face moment! We love it when couples switch out their money dance for a cake-in-the-face competition. They have two jars on their cake table, each one containing one of the couple's names. Whoever's jar has the most money in it, get's caked smashed in their face. In this case, the groom lost! 😆

Our venue shout out this week goes to ! Honestly, this might be our favorite venue in LA! This old smog shop converted into a vintage chic hideaway is one of Marvimons many adorable venues. In the heart of LA, its an intimate space with a huge vibe. The is one of those venues that makes everyone in it look and feel good. One of our favorite things about it is the "crowsnest" that you and your partner can sneak away to for a moment together before heading back down to the party. If you have a guest count under 150 go check them out!
