📣📣UPDATE: Each day, she🦉continues to make progress! She’s starting to eat organ meat and the Auburn University Raptor Center staff is hoping to operate on her fractured femur Wednesday, November 1st.

We headed out on Hwy 49 North mid morning to go look at the fall foliage 🍁😎🍂… and then we passed an owl on the side of the road in Lineville so … plans changed‼️
We somehow managed to get this bird into a two seater, with two people AND not get bit or punctured.

🦉It’s a Barred Owl and is now safely at the Auburn University Raptor Center. As of 4:30, they are guarded about her status. She has a fractured femur and injured eye. They have her on fluids, pain medicine, eye medicine and, if she makes it through the night, will most likely give her a blood transfusion tomorrow since she is very anemic. Thank you Auburn! 🦅
