Southern tradition says that if you bury a bottle of bourbon it can help keep rain at bay on your wedding day! Here's the kicker - It has to be exactly one month before your wedding, down to the minute. The legend also requires you to place an unopened bottle of bourbon upside down near where you’ll recite your vows. On the wedding day, you dig the bottle up, crack it open, and enjoy with loved ones! We now offer each couple that gets married at our venue the opportunity to bury a bottle of bourbon (made by our friends at @bigcreekdistilling) one month prior to their big day. Our first couple to take part in this tradition - Kennedy and Brody - buried the bottle yesterday exactly one month until their wedding. Time to put this southern tradition to the test.
