Of La Fete By Sam and a few lessons from along the way.
1.Do what makes you happy.
It’s your business, dream and vision.
2. Learn to adapt. Things change and flexibility is key.
3. Support comes in different forms.
They may not use your service but a shared post doesn’t carry any less weight.
4. Everyone isn’t for your business and that’s ok! You don’t have to always say yes.
5. Take breaks. Mental breaks, physical breaks, emotional breaks.
6. Comparison is the thief of joy.
7. Keep growing. Always grow.
8. Don’t let anyone force you into negotiating your prices. Your business isn’t a farmers market.
9. Always aim to do better than the last time.
10. Only compete with yourself.
11. Keep pushing even when things get tough.
12. Slow times don’t automatically mean you’re doing something wrong.
13. Social media is your friend.
14. Ask for help! It’s not a weakness.
15. Be someone who supports others and doesn’t tear them down.
16. Learn to laugh at yourself.
17. Learn about SB taxes asap 🥴
18. Apologize when necessary but don’t over do it.
19. Take your time and don’t rush the process.
20. Be open to constructive input.
21. You need money to make money.
22. Don’t complain about clients to your mom. She never forgets.
23. You’ll make mistakes but don’t let it keep you down.
24. There’s no perfect moment to start your business. Just do it and perfect moments will come.

When Justin reached out to me back in April about helping plan a surprise proposal there was no question about if I could help or not (ABSOLUTELY lol) Though I couldn’t be there in person my right hand and ever so talented captured the vision and ran with it. I can confidently say I am loving the direction that allowing myself to be stretched, uncomfortable and open to pivots is taking me in. It’s thought to be a negative thing to be afraid but I’m learning that in certain situations it means something great is coming and you’re about to do something big if you just believe in yourself and what you’re capable of.

Aren’t they just the cutest?😭
One thing I love about intimate weddings is the sense of community. The entire day was filled with love and support and people excited to celebrate Janice and Kyle. If I needed anything there was someone ready and willing to help in any way they could. It felt like there wasn’t anywhere else that their friends and family wanted to be. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful memory 🖤

I thought about wearing the work shirt with the stitched logo or even wearing a pink suit for this photo. I even researched local make-up artists but at the last minute decided the best way to introduce myself is as my favorite version of me. Comfy clothes, vans, light pink painted nails and a smile.
